ABOUT
Azura is a 25-year-old designer from South London with strong ties to her Ugandan heritage. Growing up immersed in African art, including sculptures, paintings, and traditional silk garments, she developed an early love for creativity and expression. After graduating from the London College of Fashion in 2022 with a specialisation in menswear, Azura began fusing East African craftsmanship with modern streetwear in her designs.
Influenced by Londonโs vibrant 2000s streetwear scene and the bold aesthetics of 90s and 2000s RnB and hip-hop music videos, Azuraโs style reflects a powerful blend of cultural storytelling and expressive fashion. Her early experiences interning with Labrum London during Fashion Week and working with Ozwald Boateng in her first year at university provided her with valuable industry insight and inspiration.
Azura aims to tell stories through fashion by blending formal menswear with a streetwear edge. Each collection pays tribute to the African artistry she grew up with: bold prints, intricate patterns, and the vibrant narratives found in traditional Ugandan paintings and sculpture.
As an artist, Azura brings her skills in painting and drawing into her design process, combining cultural prints with structured, luxury streetwear silhouettes. More than just a fashion brand, Azura represents a modern narrative of Black, East African, and British identities. This distinct perspective is woven into every garment, honouring heritage while embracing a contemporary voice that feels both grounded and new.

MY AIM IS TO SHOWCASE MY HERITAGE THROUGH CLOTHING & ART,PRESERVING CULTURE AND INSPIRE FUTURE GENERATIONS OF THE AFRICAN DIASPORA TO EMBRACE THIER IDENTITY AND CREATIVITYโ
